Longhaired Dachshund

LonghairedCoat: The coat should be soft and straight, or only slightly waved. It is longest under the neck, on the under parts of the body and behind the legs, where it should form abundant feathering, and on the tail where it should form a flag. The outside of the ears should be well feathered. The body coat should be flat and should not obscure the outline. Too much hair on the feet is not desired.

Tail: Robust, thickly haired, gradually tapering to a point. A flag tail is a fault.

Color of Hair: is the same as for the smooth Dachshund. Nose and nails are also the same as for the smooth.

Nose and nails: black.
